- Abstract
- The thesis was that pastors could have greater success in the identification and development of genuine Christian character of parishioners through an affective rather than a cognitive approach. The method used by the author was a study of Scripture, historical materials, recent scientific research, secular theory, Christian theology and professional applications. The information was synthesized and used to develop projects in his congregation. These were tested through survey and anecdotal reflection. The conclusion is that the thesis was correct and that an affective approach to the identification and development of genuine Christian character is very productive.
