Abstract
  • Conversational preaching can be a bridge that links modern and postmodern listeners. The postmodern world is not an epoch but rather a set of understandings and sensibilities that fill the cracks in a modern world view. The author used an upper middle congregation as the testing ground for the thesis. By using qualitative and anecdotal research, the author found that conversational style preaching that incorporates the voices of others in the preaching process, can result in sermons that speak to those postmodern listeners that worship in a modern world.
