Abstract
  • This project developed an equipping tool to increase the prayer life of baby boomers and baby busters, those born between 1946 and 1981, in New Horizon United Methodist Church in Champaign, Illinois. Over a seven-week period basic principles and practices of prayer were taught through Sunday morning worship and small group experiences. A short video introduced each weekly theme in the small groups and participants were given a workbook to personalize and record their questions, prayers and growth. Quantitative surveys and qualitative analysis show that a large majority grew in their understanding and practice of prayer.
