- The purpose of this project was to prepare a catechetical study on the fundamental principles of Christian worship and the structure of the Eucharist in order to allow participants of make a critical study of the Eucharistic rite at St. James' Church, Barbados and to develop a dynamic equivalent. The study arose out of the need for indigenous forms of worship. The author used the pro-active research method to collect and analyze data from observing the experimental rite and two surveys. The evaluation of the workshop and the rite revealed a strong interest in the inculturation of local worship.
