- Abstract
- This project focused on the issue of member assimilation. It argues that Christian community is not the effect of faith in God, but is the manifestation of that faith. The author makes the case for a relational faith. Theology rather than psychology or sociology is the basis for understanding congregational life. A planning group assessed the needs of this congregation. A set of proposals was generated. They included retreats, meals, a photo directory, etc. A questionnaire was used for evaluation. Some progress was made in awareness of the need for a relational faith, and some members did become closer.
