- Abstract
- This project provides United Methodist district superintendents with a model for joining clergy and laity in an effective partnership ministry through the leadership of the pastor-parish relations committee in the local church. The district superintendent, through training and supervision, becomes the catalyst for developing the leadership of the pastor-parish relations committee. The model was successfully tested in three churches of varying size within the Lexington District, Western North Carolina Conference, United Methodist Church. This document is part of a larger design in which the district superintendent is acknowledged as the bonding agent for denominational renewal.
