  • This project proposes that narrative preaching is the preferred way to preach the New Testament book of Acts. A narrative sermon is a biblical message employing the use of story and plot to inductively communicate the author's main thought of--ordinarily--a biblical narrative. This project accomplishes this by identifying a theology of preaching, by defining the narrative sermon, by critiquing homiletical books on Acts, by showing how to write a narrative sermon, and by preaching Acts 13-28 to a local church. Critique forms disclose that narrative preaching can be a powerful way to communicate a biblical passage.
