Abstrakt

This thesis examines the challenges and threats from the postmodern university system to college-bound high school students who desire to live and maintain a faithful Christian life in the midst of American academia. College students completed a survey instrument that demonstrated many anti-Christian hostilities. As a result of that survey, a curriculum was developed to be used among college-bound mid-adolescents to equip them with the necessary tools to defend and stand firm in their Christian faith. Alongside the curriculum, the survey instrument also indicated the need and value for an active mentoring ministry to be employed amongst the church's mid-adolescents. In conclusion, in order to develop Christian maturity amongst the church's mid-adolescent community, it is imperative that the modern-day church minister to their minds and hearts through intentional educational programs.
