Abstract
  • This project delineated a Reformed theological base for discipleship and attempted to determine if significant growth in discipleship could be implemented in the ministry of a local church on this basis. The Navigator 2:7 Bible Study Series was the methodology used in this study. Southern Gables Evangelical Free Church, Denver, Colorado, provided the test groups in which growth or non-growth in discipleship was measured. Measurement of progress was based on a testing instrument developed around the Navigator 'wheel' illustration. The project concluded that the 2:7 Bible Study Series can provide structures that will stimulate growth in discipleship.
