Abstract
  • This project deals with strengthening the marital relationship of black Christian couples at Merrill Avenue Baptist Church. The project asserts that this can be done by teaching couples how to build a marriage that is yielded to Jesus Christ, based on biblical principles. The project states that a marriage enrichment program led by the pastor and his wife will help couples learn to express their frustrations, disappointments, and desires to one another. Four major areas were covered in this initial program. These areas are: communication, sexual relations, finances, and the biblical perspective of marriage and divorce.
