Abstract
  • Responding to the growing number of lay persons in ministry and to their desire for formation, this project report presents a method by which a formation for ministry program for a diocese is designed. Reading the 'signs of the times,' recent theological works, and Roman Catholic church documents, a shift in responsibility for ministry from the sole domain of the ordained to all the baptized is indicated. Inspired by liberation theology, this candidate builds a theological perspective and describes the design of a formation for ministry program. This program is presently being piloted in the Diocese of Albany.
