Abstract
  • Feminist-womanist theology is an outstanding resource for transforming and re-shaping attitudes and behaviors which contribute to sexual harassment and the perpetuation of bias against women and minorities throughout the Navy, church, and society. Roman Catholic feminist theology is examined in the writings of Elisabeth Schussler-Fiorenza, Protestant womanist theology in the writings of Katie G Cannon, and Jewish feminist theology in the writings of Judith Plaskow. Feminist-womanist theology reinforces policies which increase inclusiveness, and ensures equal opportunity in work environments where all sea service personnel can maximize their potential while fully contributing to mission readiness and accomplishment.
