Abstract
  • The author studied the life of a church in a semi-urban city and determined through research that the church was not growing, but rather losing her members. Some of those who left the church for other churches were interviewed, as were the backsliders and regular attenders. The results indicated that something was lacking in the church. The small group structure was introduced, and within four years the church has become a loving, growing church as people's needs are now being met.
