Abstract

The purpose of this project was to equip a select group of church leaders to develop a process that would enable new adult members to become assimilated into the life of the church. First, the project director obtained approval from the church congregation to allow the director to establish a ministry team that would develop the process. Second, the director researched available materials on assimilation strategies in preparation for equipping team members. Third, the director explored the field of curriculum design to gain the skills required to create a series of sessions in which the enlisted team members were equipped. Fourth, the director led the sessions as team members developed the process. Last, the ministry team presented the proposed process to the congregation for consideration. The approval and implementation of the process was outside of the scope of the project.
