- Abstract
- The purpose of the project was to help a select number of educationally, socially, and economically disadvantaged adults gain an understanding of biblical principles which are applicable to family life in eastern Kentucky. The project accomplished this by developing and conducting a fourth-grade level literacy training course on family values and beliefs. Following an introductory chapter, Chapter 2 presents a biblical mandate, an historical precedent and a theological rationale for the project. Chapter 3 discusses family life in eastern Kentucky over the past 250 years. Chapter 4 discusses the project's literacy training program. Chapter 5 discusses the project's accomplishments.
