  • The author tested the thesis that a relationship between the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church and the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ) can be developed through unity, faith, and love with a focus on responding to the needs of urban America. The method of study was based on faith practices, opportunities for interaction, one-on-one interviews, and surveys disseminated to leaders and members of each group. Through this method of study, it was found that the AME Church and the URJ share similar passions for individual and corporate advancement in faith, unity, love, and the ability to help others.
