Abstract
  • This project encourages pastors of local churches to become involved with the theological education of church members by developing a tool to aid them in the process. The project uses videotaped theology courses developed by Christian Workmen's Institute (CWI) to demonstrate that local church members can be trained for pastoral ministry in the field. Three case studies document and analyze programs presenting the tapes in three different congregations. These field-based programs in local churches trained pastoral ministers and improved knowledge of theology among church members.
