Abstract
  • This project seeks to lead the participants to become outwardly focused through their participation in an evangelistic prayer strategy. Biblical and historical foundations for prayer and evangelism are presented along with the thoughts of Jonathan Edwards and Charles Finney to build a foundation that prayer will lead people to be outwardly focused. Definitions of prayer are presented along with evangelistic models that lead people to be outwardly focused. The strategy was implemented in a Sunday school class and then examined to describe changes in participants' beliefs and behaviors as result of the implementation.
