- The author's thesis in this work is that, biblical counseling at Community Bible Church is an effective tool for building people up to become mature followers of Jesus Christ. Biblical counseling is considered from the standpoint of the teaching of Dr Jay Adams. The study incorporated a mixed methods approach incorporating quantitative and qualitative data. The conclusion of the study was that biblical counseling is highly effective in building people up to be mature followers of Jesus Christ.
