Abstract
  • The author studied God's covenant relationship with humans as it is revealed in the scriptures and fulfilled in Jesus Christ. She connected the God-human covenant with the covenant of Christian marriage and suggested that love, loyalty and mutual respect are some of the elements central to keeping covenant. The discernment of this covenant relationship with God and each other was described through biblical exegesis, theological doctrine, contemporary writings and artistic expression. A practicum, describing a couple's retreat, concluded that the use of art expression encourages, examines, expands and strengthens the elements of the Christian covenant marriage.
