Abstract
  • An individual can deepen his/her faith by participating in a personal symbol. This thesis was supported in the project which evaluated an educational process of faith development, created and implemented by the author. Nineteen participants completed the program of meditation, scripture, journal writing, symbol choosing and symbol dialogues. Through written response sheets participants described how the process of symbol participation deepened or redirected their trust, meaning and commitments, i.e., their faith. The report concludes with a print and audio tape leader's guide. The author strengthened his self-awareness of ministry around issues of leadership, intimacy and education.
