- Abstract
- The purpose of the project was to train fifteen members from East Bay Community in Alameda, California to witness to the Filipino-Americans in Alameda County. The training has three objectives for the project participants: (1) increase knowledge of the origin, culture, character, theology and religious practices of the target group; (2) develop skill in witnessing; and (3) persevere in witnessing. The project engaged an eight phase process which included the following study: (1) theology of witnessing; (2) knowledge of basic history, culture, and theology and religious practices related to witnessing; (3) presentation of witnessing module; (4) and how to persevere in witnessing. Testing instruments were also developed to test all goals and objectives. At the conclusion of the project, the cognitive area was satisfactory while the skill and affective areas were unsatisfactory.
