Abstract
  • There are times in the life of every congregation when it is appropriate to ask, 'At this time and in this place how well are we fulfilling the mandate of being a Christian church, the church of Jesus Christ?' The project starts with a case study describing the situation in one small church. This is followed by an explanation of what happened, resources used, and an evaluation. A detailed outline of the process followed is included in the last half of the paper. Conversations with key individuals in several different congregations using this instrument show that it has made a significant difference and has led to renewal.
