- Abstract
- Many Christians express confusion regarding differences of faith and belief in relational groups. This often produces frustration and difficulties in families, churches, and communities. The project is an attempt to help participants determine their core faith and resultant beliefs to foster faith development. The intended result is to create attitudes free from fear and condescension. The approach is an integration of scripture, self-esteem, and United Methodist doctrine in a series of sessions that include lecture and discussion. The project did not produce results outside standard deviation. Better results may be achieved with a carefully structured introduction of biblical underpinnings.
