Abstract
  • This project was designed to implement a peer mentoring process in the Red River Valley Baptist Association with a small group of pastors. The project director developed and delivered a seminar on mentoring and a retreat on coaching for the purpose of introducing participants to a sixty-day biblical peer mentoring relationship. The project was evaluated by participants' performances on a cumulative examination, covenant and goal statements, and individual interviews following the sixty-day period. The participants learned the biblical basis for mentoring, coaching techniques, and the valuable contribution of peer relationships in ministry.
