Abstrakt

The purpose of this study was the development of a membership manual and companion leader's guide for use in local United Methodist Churches. The material emphasized history, doctrine, and polity. It was designed for use by youth and adults in both group and independent study settings. Research from the fields of documentary, creative, and objective studies was utilized in preparing the material. The work was submitted to a panel of six judges from diverse backgrounds for evaluation. The judges determined the material was suitable for use in the local church.
