Abstract
  • This project designs, implements, and evaluates public services of healing in Saint Michael Lutheran Church (Virginia Beach, Va), in order to enable spiritual growth and an understanding of healing ministry among members of the congregation. After enlisting and training a ministry team to prepare the congregation and conduct healing services, the project initiates healing services as a regular worship event, semiannually on Sunday mornings and monthly on Sunday evenings. Requests for private prayers of healing increase, and the ministry team grows as members become committed to healing.
