Abstract
  • The Pyungkang Korean Methodist Church, composed of overseas Koreans, experiences loss of sense of community due to the 'low settlement rate,' identity crisis caused by horizontal migration, low ministry participation rate, and weak vitality. These problems are not due to the world but to the fundamentals of the church. In this thesis the house church is proposed as an alternative. The researcher focuses on its fundamental vitality and complementary ecclesiology. By applying characteristics the house church's fundamentals as an organism, its apostolicity, its capacity to be prophetic, and its correspondence with the priesthood of all believers, the researcher hopes to restore the conditions of Pyungkang Methodist Church.
