Abstract
  • The purpose of this dissertation is to develop a learning process to coach missionary leaders to become effective life-based mentors. The study took a curriculum design approach to develop an educational framework for life-based mentoring. Developing this model involved a four-step process. First, the author examined a few key biblical mentoring narratives to find patterns and principles related to life-based mentoring. Second, he explored how the study of literature could inform the development of this model. Third, he established a strategic framework and developed a curriculum for this model. Fourth, he tested the validity of this model through a pilot project.
