Abstract
  • In the majority of churches, it is assumed that sermon development is the sole responsibility of the preacher. This thesis challenges that assumption by examining the valuable role that church leaders can, and should, play in the development process of effective expository sermons. After demonstrating from scripture the vested interest church leaders should have in the sermon, the thesis will look at indirect and direct ways church leaders can assist in the sermon development process. The thesis provides a seminar that can be presented to preachers and church leaders on how such a collegial effort might work.
