Abstract
  • In 1982, the Christian and Missionary Alliance churches of Canada agreed to launch a capital fund raising drive for church planting in Manila. A goal of 1.4 million dollars was established. Two years were allotted to involve as many as possible of Canda's 300 churches and her 50,000 constituents. The funds would build a church to seat 1,000 people and a Christian education unit. All remaining funds would be used for on-going evangelistic programs. This thesis explains the method of fund raising used and serves to model similar future endeavors. We received 1.1 million dollars towards our goal. A large church was built and the congregation continues to grow.
