Abstract
  • This thesis-project argues for the need to provide training for leaders in the faith community with a desired outcome of identifying and assisting women in dealing constructively with the trauma of their life experiences. The project is the development of a course to train those in the evangelical community to provide effectual pastoral care to women in pain. The intent of this thesis-project is to address the deficit in evangelical churches and seminaries in understanding the context of women's painful experiences, a theological expression of pain and suffering, and skill needed for effectual pastoral care of women dealing with life's painful experiences.
