Abstract
  • This project designs and tests a model for ministry which attempts to enrich the sense of Christian community as it is related to the preaching event and to improve the sense of dialogue between a preacher and a congregation. It reflects on the verbal and nonverbal dialogue of the preaching event in a small group setting. The project addresses the sense of alienation, observed in the nonverbal dialogue of the preaching event, that occurs between the congregation and the sermon, the Gospel and the scripture. Research examines and encodes nonverbal dialogue with the use of video recordings.
