Abstract
  • A church committee meeting can be a place where one loves God and neighbor. Often unfocused and poorly run, meetings can become an opportunity for ministry by effectively using members' time, energy, and talents by introducing methods of efficiency, developing a mission statement, and providing an atmosphere where faith and mission can be nurtured and understood through Scripture and personal stories. While these interventions set the groundwork for successful meetings, other factors such as a well-trained chairperson, th e active involvement of every member, and continual education and review of goals are necessary to put ideas and dreams into action and enable people to love God and neighbor through their service on a committee.
