Abstract
  • This dissertation determined that the study of God-sent revival can induce and instruct a believer to pursue spitirual renewal in the areas of dependence on Christ's grace, Bible reading, prayer, and anguish for unbelievers. Revival is defines as the reanimating of much of the church by the extraordinary work of God, The view of revival is distinguished from two other views of revival. A case study involving eight individuals in an eight-week group study found that 75 percent of the participants indicated an increase in their pursuit of spiritual renewal resulting from the study of revival.
