Abstract
  • This applied research project proposes and evaluates a practical theology ministry model for assisting Christians to recognize, resist, and respond to gossip in a gospel-centered manner. The project proposes a biblically-informed functional definition of sinful gossip. An appendix contains a written form of the ministry model-the complete manuscript of a practical theology book that both elaborates on the proposed definition and explains the biblical teaching on a popular level. The ministry model was analyzed by a group of twenty-one critical readers. A summary of their critiques are included with an explanation of how the ministry model had been improved.
