Abstrakt

This project involved persons who are mildly and moderately retarded in a program of financial stewardship and mission outreach through the use of an offering in weekly worship services. The setting was a large residential facility for the mentally handicapped. The primary objectives for the project were to train direct care staff in the religious needs of the retarded, to involve a group of retarded persons in the outreach committee, and to train the congregation at Denton State School to use the weekly offering as a means of reaching out to meet the needs of the wider community.
