Abstract
  • Ministry in social locations of wounded congregations in interim ministry has been largely bereft of biblical texts in the form of the laments of Israel. This project deals with their reclamation as renewed cries to the Lord in our prolific wounded contexts in the 21st century church from a gospel in culture perspective. It offers a re-appropriation of the of the biblical form-critical categories of the laments of the Psalter in a new paradigm especially applicable to situations of trauma in congregations between the times of longer established ministries.
