Abstract
  • This project seeks to reconceptualize the link between pneumatology and social engagement for Pentecostal theology, leadership studies, and social ethics. It argues that social justice work is equally inspired by the Holy Spirit as private spiritual piety. Collaborating with leaders from the Temple of Faith Church Of God In Christ, this project utilized a mixed methods design to explore how Bible studies, weekly roundtables, small group discussions, readings on community action, presentations by an activist and the senior Shepherd in the congregation, and a practicum can help ministry leaders reimagine the role of the Holy Spirit in addressing "structural" sin.
