Abstract
  • This ministry model was done with the ministers of the Central Florida Conference Institute of the 11th Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church: a workshop to train spiritual leaders to minister effectively to families during end of life crisis. Several congregational issues exist concerning end of life in the African American community. This pilot group of ministers from the African Methodist Episcopal Church shared in a training workshop, the research finding from the evaluation of the pre-test and post test indicated that the participants grew as spiritual leaders, better equipped to offer spiritual direction to persons struggling with end of life care.
