Abstrakt

This thesis explores the potential of friendships as an effective framework for evangelism ministry. Included is a review of the author's previous thinking and practice in evangelism, touching on major areas of satisfaction and difficulty. It is the author's conviction that friendship evangelism offers an inviting model of ministry which is theologically and sociologically significant. A long-range plan for engaging a church in intentional friendship evangelism is proposed. An appendix indicates how the study of friendship evangelism grew out of the needs in the author's particular parish ministry setting.
