- Abstract
- The most foundational beliefs of contemporary Hinduism (Vedanta) are summarized in an organized manner so that the new student of Hinduism can obtain an overview of this diverse faith. A statement of biblical Christian belief is given after each statement of Hindu belief. This project was accomplished by first writing a summary based on a literature review. The summary was then discussed with two educated lay Hindus and one Hindu spiritual leader. Suggestions and criticisms were used to redraft the summary. The original draft, summaries of the interviews, and final draft constitute the thesis product.
