Abstract
  • This project addresses itself to a perceived need for a more corporate or congregationally-oriented approach to the preaching, teaching, study, and application of Scripture. The purpose of this is to help lay members of the contemporary evangelical church recover a sense of 'ownership' in the Bible, thereby allowing the written word to become an effective tool in critiquing, among other things, secular tendencies among modern evangelical Christians. Particularly relevant to this project's creation/implementation was a twofold need of the DeKalb Christian Church: (1) to more clearly articulate its biblical faith, and (2) a need for more small-group Bible studies.
