- The project was designed to engage the members of First Baptist Church of Mira Mesa in a ministry specifically focused toward active duty military and their families stationed at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, San Diego and to encourage the military families at Miramar to become active members of FBCMM. A Military Ministry Manual was created which included a Ministry Action Plan (MAP), designed to guide churches through the completion of tasks associated with establishing and conducting an effective 'military ministry' program as an aspect of their church, including a support ministry for military chaplains.
