Abstract
  • Regional shopping centers in Australia bring together all elements of urban society. The local church can develop an understanding of consumerism and evangelism in such a context. Biblical, social and religious perspectives on marketplaces are researched, and also the nature of consumerism and how the church's mission relates to the shopping center. Church members developed attitudinal changes towards consumerism and learned to work in groups in an area requiring specialized evangelism.
