Abstrakt

The purpose of this DMin project was to equip selected Haitian-American, Southern Baptist Pastors in Florida with multiethnic church revitalization competencies. The project took place in three different phases. First, I researched the field of church revitalization to determine what competencies are suitable in a multiethnic church setting. Second, using a team of experts in church revitalization, including LeRoy Ford’s book Design for Teaching and Training, I developed a workshop that provides an overview of various multiethnic church revitalization factors for the selected pastors. Third, I equipped the selected pastors with the multiethnic church revitalization workshop to increase their knowledge and understanding of multiethnic church revitalization. Finally, for the project completion, I encouraged the selected pastors to carry out the responsibility of revitalizing their churches, using the multiethnic church revitalization competencies. A total of twenty pastors attended the workshop, and the workshop lasted for about eight hours with six different sessions. The implementation of the project has also increased my knowledge and skills in multiethnic church revitalization.
