Abstract
  • This project integrates spiritual direction with a collaborative preaching model. Specifically, the addition of discipline of Lectio Divina as part of the group process establishes a more personal or devotional discussion of the sermon texts as opposed to a more academic approach. The thesis of the project is supported by the transformation theory of James E. Loder which relates to the general approach of spiritual direction. The collaborative preaching component is based on the theory of John S. McClure.
