Abstract
  • This applied research project considers the multiethnic church movement phenomenon, with particular attention given to the different motivations and strategies of three select multiethnic churches. Although each of these multiethnic churches have come to the same conclusion regarding the importance of being united and inclusive based on their biblical understanding of the New Testament, they have important differences in their strategies. Upon closer examination of each of these representative multiethnic churches, one finds variations because of differing motivations for doing multiethnic ministry. This study focuses on examining these variations. The larger purpose in bringing these distinctions to light is to help multiethnic church planters and pastors better formulate strategies that are consistent with their motivation and their theological rationale for developing a multiethnic ministry.
