Abstract
  • The thesis of this dissertation is to show how selected churches effectively engage the post-Christendom culture of North America. The selected churches are categorized as 'missional' because of their ability to effectively organize and mobilize their congregations to live as incarnate Christians in their communities and around the world. The selected churches demonstrate multifaceted ways for engaging a generation with a postmodern worldview in a post-Christendom milieu. This was a qualitative examination of churches from the West Coast to the East Coast. The missional churches that participated in this study have reinvented themselves to become catalysts in the missional movement.
