Abstract
  • This project proposes an approach to establish contact with upper-class people in Jamaica so that they can be reached with the Seventh-day Adventist message. Previous SDA evangelism in Jamaica has successfully reached poor and working people, but it has been ineffective in contacting and attracting the upper classes. The project suggests that 'intentional ministries'--any social ministry, instrument, or program designed to make a deliberate impact within the local community--can be used to contact upper-class people and make personal evangelism possible. This approach to evangelism among the upper classes would be unprecedented among all Christian denominations in Jamaica.
